Tunisian youth have recently surprised us with their strength and courage, their will to change things in their country, their will to raise and free their voice, their struggle to play an important role in decision-making. A year ago, Babelmed’s investigations pointed out difficult social situations, frustrations that young people live in the Southern Shore, totally excluded from power, knowledge and decision-making processes in their country.

Confined youth… with no future… these investigations clearly pointed out a whole range of young people whose energies are being wasted, whose hopes are fading away.
Besides, these articles inform us on European youth. Although European youngsters may have a better life and freedom, they tend to have a sullen, angry view of their society. This is the case of Italian young people who are increasingly irritated by the lack of perspective in a society where gerontocracy and corruption are threatening democracy.
