People are asked to take to the streets on April 17th between 7.00 and 7.30pm holding a piece of white fabric with the word STOP written on it in their hands. This date in France will be the starting point of a wave that will eventually expand into a gigantic “ola!” of protest, from one end of the globe to the other.

All the cities and villages of France are invited to propose meeting places and gather as many people as possible.
So as to insure the event’s visibility, an important meeting is programmed in Paris France, Place du Trocadero, the square of Freedom and Human Rights. At 7.00 pm., the white wave will take form with the Eiffel tower in the background, a human wave of around one hundred “sandwich men”, showing the white side of their cloth with the words “Syria” and “Stop”. The wave will undulate for a few minutes before the sandwich men turn, allowing us to discover photographs of celebrities** each of them holding a piece of white fabric in their hands with the word “Stop”.

In order to prolong the demonstration everyone is asked to photograph themselves and/or each other, and to upload their photographs on the website dedicated to the event: http://vagueblanchepourlasyrie.org

eople can also hang a white fabric at their window, or put their photograph on the website.
From the smallest to the biggest demonstration, in every public square and at every window, the thousands of white fabric will speak in the name of one humanity. The Syrian people will know they are not alone.
