ANDES Report on Migrant Destitution, Malta | babelmedThe JRS Malta has just published their ANDES (Advocacy Network on Destitute Forced Migrants) report on a pilot study on migrant destitution. This publication contains the results and main findings of a pilot study conducted to explore destitution amongst the migrant community in Malta.

The study was undertaken by the ANDES. The Jesuit Refugee Service Malta coordinates the Network in collaboration with the following organisations: the International Organization for Migration (MALTA Mission), Moviment Graffitti, and the General Workers’ Union (Migrants’ Section). The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (Malta Office) has also assisted on this project.

The report shows that there are several causative and contributing factors that increase migrants’ vulnerability to destitution.
