From Venice, where he was born, to Africa where he set the action of “The Scorpions of the Desert” or the South Seas that inspired him for “Ballad of the Salt” passing by South America, where he travelled extensively, the exhibition carries visitors in an imaginary trip into the mind and art of one of the most talented cartoonist of the century, the father of fascinating Corto Maltese. Imaginary Periplus is the first anthological exhibition on Hugo Pratt since his death, 10 years ago.
