Makram Khoury Mahcool, from Cambridge University has produced a study that argues that Palestine has a complete different approach to the medium than the broader Arab world: Palestinians are indeed the largest group of users of the Internet in the Arab world.

A study conducted by the UNESCO Chair in Public and Community Communication in Rabat questions the status and the professional experiences of women journalists in Algeria, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, and Tunisia. Based on feedback provided by focus groups and questionnaires, the study identifies the various ways and visions through which women journalists perceive themselves in the media industry as well their actual professional rights.
