Films about Conscience

The Hrant Dink Foundation has initiated a short film project “Films about Conscience”, inspired by Hrant Dink’s words “The voice of conscience has been sentenced to silence. Now, that conscience is searching for a way out”.

The project invites everyone who can get hold of a camera, to shoot a short film of maximum 5 minutes about conscience. The ones, who accept this invitation and turn their camera to their conscience, can upload their films on www.filmsaboutconscience.org until November 1st, 2013. There is no limitation on genre.

The jury of 2013 consists of Ahmet Boyacıoğlu,Cem Mansur,Petros Markaris,Rakel Dink,Susanna Harutyunyan,Thomas Balkenhol and Yeşim Ustaoğlu.

fatih 110bis“The Cut”, Turkish-German director Fatih Ak?n’s movie about the Armenian genocide will premiere at the Venice Film Festival, held from 27 August to 6 September. Ak?n, in an interview to “Agos” (Armenian newspaper published in Turkey), stated that his greatest wish was for the film to be screened in major theatres in Turkey.
