3rd International Contemporary Art Festival, Algiers The 3rd International Contemporary Art Festival (FIAC) is taking place in Algiers, from the 3rd of December 2011 to the 3rd of February 2012 at the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Algiers (MAMA) inaugurated in 2007.

Created in 2009, the Festival’s main objective is to promote contemporary art, contemporary creativity in Algeria and around the world. The Festival provides space for a confrontation of different artistic viewpoints and rhetoric.

This edition’s theme is the theme of “return” (le Retour), a concept proposed in its broad sense be it philosophical, social, cultural or artistic.
