  Palestine & Jordan, 1500AD–1900 AD The exhibition features the private collection of Dr. Hisham Khatib home to numerous original paintings, lithographs, photographs, maps, atlases and valuable plate books detailing Palestine and Jordan from the 16th century to the 19th century.

The valuable collection culminating 30 years of dedication includes works by renowned painters such as D. Roberts (1796 – 1864) and W. Hunt (1823-1910). Also on display are photographs by la Maison Bonfils (1890s) and Frith (1822-1898); many maps, including a rare example by Ortelius (1584); and a number of valuable plate books.

Dr. Hisham Khatib - an intellectual, an engineer and an economist- has many contributions to the subject including a book “ Palestine and Egypt under the Ottomans” published in Jordan, Cairo, London and New York.
