This year, 671 productions coming from 35 were entered. Hugo Pratt’s Imaginary PeriplusSiena, Palazzo Squarcialupi. Extended to October 2, 2005 Exhibition “Imaginary Periplus” in Siena, is a real and fictionnal journey throughout Venetian Cartoonist Hugo Pratt’s world. From Venice, where he was born, to Africa where he set the action of “The Scorpions of the Desert” or the South Seas that inspired him for “Ballad of the Salt” passing by South America, where he travelled extensively, the exhibition carries visitors in an imaginary trip into the mind and art of one of the most talented cartoonist of the century, the father of fascinating Corto Maltese. Imaginary Periplus is the first anthological exhibition on Hugo Pratt since his death, 10 years ago.
