Egyptian short film festival accepting entries | Short Film Festival, Qabila, Fiction, Animation, DocumentariesQabila’s 2nd Annual Short Film Festival Is Now Open for Submissions. Filmmakers aged 16-36 from any country can submit their short live-action films, animated films or documentaries to the festival.

Qabila’s second annual film festivalis accepting entries from filmmakers who want to tell a story through art and make a difference by reaching a global audience. The organizers say “The Festival is your opportunity to showcase your talent, tell a story through your art, make a difference and reach out to a global audience. This is a competition that aims to expose, incubate and develop young talents around the world.”

Films should range in length from 1 minute to 30 minutes. Films in languages other than English must include English subtitles. Filmmakers may only submit one film, and their submissions must not have been created before Jan. 1, 2012.

Interested candidates must complete the submission formand upload their films to their private YouTube channel as (unlisted)/ or on their Vimeo channel as (private). Once uploaded, they must include the following biographical details about the director: name, age, original place of birth and the country from which he or she is submitting the film. Upon completion, they should send the link to apply@qabilafilmfestival.com.

 

The deadline for submissions is April 4.

How to apply?

1) Upload your film to your private YouTube/Vimeo channel.

2) Fill in the Submission Form.

3) Send it to apply@qabilafilmfestival.com

*Please make sure that the film is “Unlisted” on YouTube/private on vimeo and make sure you write your information in the description of your movie (Name, Age of the Director, country the film is submitted from, and original place of birth)

Rules

1) Submitted films must not have been created before January 1, 2012 (Meaning that if your film was released before the 1st of January 2012, it will not be accepted).

2) Directors should be between 16-36 years of age during the time of submission.

3) Films can be submitted from any country around the world.

4) Length of submitted films must be- minimum 1 minute and- maximum 30 minutes.

5) Accepted Film Entries could be Fiction, Animation or Documentaries.
