The cultural association “Il Tamarindo” has recently announced its first international design competition. The idea is to encourage young people to design a pavilion for the Nausicaa Festival’s info-point.
Nausicaa is a Festival of Mediterranean Youth Culture
– an event sponsored by the Institute for Mediterranean Architecture (IsAM).
This call for submissions is open to architecture, design and fine arts university students in the Mediterranean countries. They may participate individually or in groups. Submissions should be preferably inspired by Mediterranean artistic and architectural heritage.
The chosen projects will be displayed at the Universities of Catania – Siracusa and Milan (Politecnico) – as from September 2011.
The winning project will also be advertised on “L’Arca” – international architecture, design and visual communication magazine.
Project proposals should be sent by the 8th of July 2011
