Masters in World Heritage and Cultural Projects for Development | Masters in World Heritage, UNESCO, ICCROM, International Training Centre, Medculture

Cultural operators working or interested in world heritage projects and related research, professionals involved in cultural projects, or interested in cultural projects’ design and management, recent university graduates and officials or professionals working in the public and private cultural sector, including those working in UN agencies, have until the 21st of August 2015 to apply for the new edition of the Masters in World Heritage and Cultural Projects for Development, a program jointly offered by the University and the Polytechnic of Turin, the University of Barcelona and the International Training Centre of International Labour Organization (ILO), in collaboration with the UNESCO World Heritage Centre and ICCROM, the International Centre for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property.

Two different courses, one in English, held at the premises of the ILO International Training Centre (ITC) in Turin (Italy) and one in Spanish, held at the University of Barcelona (Spain), are available, with a duration of one year and a program including both, distance and face-to-face learning and a field research and study period during which the participants may attend internships and finalize their individual masters’ project.

The Masters are intended to contribute to strengthen the cultural industry through the preparation of managers and cultural entrepreneurs that can act as promoters of local development, income generation and job creation, while at the same tame innovating world heritage conservation approaches.
