Mediterranean Fractures, Malta | University of Malta, University of Kent, Valletta CampusThe Mediterranean Institute of the University of Malta has just opened the registrations for the next Mediterranean Fractures Symposium to be hosted by the Institute in collaboration with the Centre for Postcolonial Research of the School of English, University of Kent (UK) and the Associazione Italiana di Studi sulle Culture e Letterature di Lingua Inglese (Italy) on the 5 and 6 November 2015 at the University of Malta, Valletta Campus.

Bringing together an international community of academics and scholars specialised in post-colonial studies, this scientific event intends to open a trans-disciplinary debate on the challenges and difficulties presented by both newly-emergent and more persistent aspects of fractured consciousness as they emerge across the Mediterranean today.

After a first successful Mediterranean Fractures symposium held at the University of Kent in May 2014, this second edition will go under the title “Contested Pasts, Unrealised Futures”.

The Mediterranean Institute of the University of Malta was established to promote, facilitate and publish interdisciplinary research on the Mediterranean with the aim of contributing to a better understanding of the region, especially its societies and cultures.

Registration fee until October 29 is 100 euro.
